Laura Victoria performs powerful and original songs of love and life, often accompanied by her own left-field cello playing.
My solo album HEAD ABOVE WATER was released in 2015 and featured as one of the Albums of the Month on Folk Radio UK.
My first Ep ACTING UP was picked up and released by established label Cherry Red Records and songs from the Ep feature on compilation albums alongside Capercaillie, Woody Guthrie and Marc Almond.
As a songwriter, I write influenced by folk, pop, country, jazz and music theatre and it is often noted that I have an unusual and original style.
'Her voice evokes Nina Simone one minute and Tori Amos the next'. The F Word.
‘Laura has a unique sound but she also has a magical ability to the shift musical shapes to cover the broad range of her emotive songs'. Folk Radio UK.
